THE ACHIEVEMENTS

The EDIA Ecosystem of Excellence aims to bring together and showcase the digital expertise of Aerospace Valley members with two objectives: to support the digital transformation of the sector for all members and to promote the digital community as such. The latter has around 250 members, including digital technology providers (particularly artificial intelligence) and integrators of these technologies for their own products or services. EDIA is involved in three European projects:

    EDIH OccitanIA, which aims to support Occitan SMEs in their digital transformation;

    CAP IA, which aims to adapt AI training to the needs of businesses. In this context, the Cluster has conducted a study on the AI needs of our members;

Motivate XR, which aims to improve training in MRO operations through virtual reality and AI.

EDIA also participated in the drafting of an AFNOR standard that lays the foundations for an “AI TOEIC” within the framework of the AI Act, the European regulation on AI, with the intention of bringing this standard to the European level.

Finally, we can mention the investment of the EDIA Ecosystem of Excellence in the FFQCD, the Franco-Quebec Fund for Decentralized Cooperation between Toulouse and Montreal, which has brought the two cities closer together on the issues of digital technology and decarbonization. The culmination of this agreement was the participation of a Montreal delegation in aeronautics-related events in Toulouse at the end of the year: Aéromart, Green Aero Days, and Future Intelligence.

LOOKING BACK:

  • December 2024 | Embedded AI Week, 50 participants = 35 companies

A week co-organized with Aktantis in a hybrid format (5 cities and online) to enable embedded AI players from the southern regions to meet, reflect, and co-develop projects together thanks to their complementary skills, and to enable knowledge transfer between the fields of space, drones, and terrestrial robotics. 110 B2B meetings took place.

  • December 2024 | Future Intelligence, 230 participants, 27 speakers

In 2024, EDIA co-organized the Future Intelligence event, which brought together French experts in trusted AI applied to aeronautics in one place.

How can AI transform the aeronautics industry by offering innovative and concrete solutions to the challenges of tomorrow? This topic was explored in depth.

  • October 2024 | AI Act webinar, 45 participants

The webinar featured speakers from the ecosystem specializing in AI, particularly legal and organizational issues related to European AI regulations. The goal was to raise awareness among companies about these regulations and help them prepare for compliance today.

The participating contractors also emphasized the obligation for their supply chains to comply with these regulations.
