ROCHEFORT

The first offices created in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, after the historic one in Bordeaux, in the Technopole Arsenal (near Airbus Atlantique) and in close collaboration with la Communauté d’Agglomération de Rochefort Océan (CARO), has maintained a dynamic policy of developing and hosting companies. Within this framework, a “Factory of the Future” area was organized during Industry Week. This initiative was an opportunity to exchange with middle school pupils, teachers and parents. It was also an opportunity, in partnership with the UIMM, to talk with companies about the positive impact of CSR for industry 4.0. The event brought together more than 300 people over three days. The last part of 2022 and the start of 2023 featured the relaunch of “Jeudis de l’Aéro” (Aero Thursdays) which allowed members to meet at a company in order to share common problems.

PAU

Cluster employees are welcomed at the  Hélioparc Technopôle, a key hub of entrepreneurship and innovation in the capital of the Bearn region. The Pau office organized an “Aquitaine” pitch session at the start of 2023 for CORAC PME. Eight companies presented their projects and two of them were visited by the DGAC/GIFAS delegation. In addition, the entire team is working on preparing Green Aero Days, an event dedicated to low carbon light air mobility which will take place at the Pau airport at the end of 2023.

BAYONNE

At the Technocité in Bayonne, the head of defence and the representative that the Cluster has shared with the University of Bordeaux for three years, are working daily to best meet the needs of its members. The agreement that binds the Cluster to la Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays-Basque (CAPB) reflects the commitment to pursuing the development of Aerospace Valley’s presence in an area that is important for the ASD sector. The latter has endowed itself with critical resources to face the future such as Compositadour, Addimadour or Turbolab, a unique test facility for rotating machines. In addition, the Pays Basque hosted Forum 2022, the first Forum since the COVID- 19 crisis. The event was a huge success with 500 participants, over 700 BtoB meetings and more than 40 speakers and experts who provided their insights about sector challenges at the round tables and technical workshops.

BORDEAUX

For over two years, the team has been working at the OIM Bordeaux Aéroparc zone, the historic center of the aeronautics and space industry of the Bordeaux metropole, in Haillan on the premises of the Bordeaux Métropole (PTO / Startway). The project manager for the Environment and the Circular Economy joined the staff. The year was marked by the creation of a national event, R4 Composites dedicated to the reuse, recycling, and repair of composite materials in aeronautics. The first event was a genuine success with over 150 participants. In addition, the Cluster took part in the launch of the EDIH aquitain called Dinhamic. In 2022 and early 2023, Aerospace Valley also significantly contributed to the organization of the roadmap of the regional thinktank, Way4Space and contributed to events organized by the latter.

MONTPELLIER

The Occitanie-East ecosystem continues to be as dynamic as ever, hosting new members and innovation projects. The Cluster carries out actions in close collaboration with  Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole on digital projects (in particular with regard to Artificial Intelligence), space (applications and infra), green aircraft and energy.

With Nîmes Métropole and in its territory, Aerospace Valley is continuing efforts to bring together players to fight forest fires (solution providers and operational actors) through space, aeronautics and drones. Many actions have been undertaken: launch of a new call for expression of interest, support for innovation projects focused on aerial forest fire fighting and finally a series of work projects to set up an accelerator in the B46 building, France’s flagship building on this same issue.
