Description :
The ATEA project, run by Ascendance Flight Technologies, aims to support the development of the first full scale flying prototype of the Atea eVTOL aircraft, a key phase in the development and certification of the aircraft developed by Ascendance Flight Technologies.
Atea is a low-carbon, low noise emission aircraft providing a sustainable alternative to the helicopter, enabling to meet the needs of the regional air mobility market to connect poorly served areas. Atea is the first step to low-carbon regional aviation.
Launch of the project : July 2023
Description :
Beyond Aero has already successfully developed a 60 kW fuel cell system as well as an 85 kW hybridization, thermal, electrical and propulsion management system.
With this new phase of technological maturity, Beyond Aero will study, design, and develop a propulsion system based on a hydrogen fuel cell and its monitoring in order to control its performances and related risks and validate electric propulsion on a scale representative of one of two engines of the “One” aircraft under development (500 kw mechanic, powered by 2 300 kW electrical systems) based on the same architecture as the scaled down system already validated in the past.
Project startup date : 16 Dcember, 2022
Funding awarded : 5,5 m€
Description :
The purpose of the CASSIO330 project, driven by VoltAero is the development, certification and industrialization of a 5 seat modular hybrid electric aircraft dedicated to Regional Aviation.
The CASSIO330 project is currently being deployed within a context favourable to the development of a French electrical industry to serve the global aeronautics industry. The development of this technology, which is meant to be transferable to commercial aviation in the longer term, will also take part in the evolution of regional air transportation and the certification framework.
Project startup date : April 2023
Funding awarded : 13,2 m€
Description :
The focus of the Elixir Aircraft project, sponsored by the company with the same name is to industrialize the VFR single engine two seat aircraft and enable the development of a larger aircraft compatible with sustainable fuels.
Project startup date : January 1st, 2023
Funding awarded : 907 500€
Description :
The FLAM2 project (Flutter Advanced Method, second part), run by Velica, in partnership with DAHER and the FEMTO-ST institute, aims to make flutter determination more reliable using Robustness analysis. FLAM2 is based on the existing FLAM method, which enables to make a flutter prediction in compliance with the regulatory requirements of certification authorities’ (EASA and FAA). The new FLAM2 approach will ultimately enable to increase the number of configurations assessed without carrying out new vibration tests with the prototype, to improve the calibration of digital aircraft models and to optimize their designs, in particular low carbon aircraft requiring innovative structural and aerodynamic architectures.
Project startup date : February 2023
Funding awarded : 3,3 m€
Description :
This project is run by ISP System (Vic en Bigorre 65500) with the partners Serma Ingénierie (Cornebarrieu, 31700) and l’Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse.
Flycera aims to design highly efficient, intelligent lighter, more compact rotary electric servo-actuators for flight control applications in light, regional and VTOL/drones aviation. These actuators will replace electrohydraulic or electric linear actuators traditionally used in commercial aviation.
Flycera is committed to proposing a solution which should enable to replace heavy and more polluting hydraulic systems. Thanks to their design and use, they are in line with national ecological objectives and are part of the France 2030 aircraft electrification strategy.
