Project description:

The TH 3 MS drone is an innovative VTOL with a wingspan of 2 m and a weight of 25 kg, capable of flying at 150 km/h. It will be adapted for maritime use and equipped for offshore missions, in particular for the inspection of offshore wind turbines in partnership with CORNIS, ONERA and EDF EN.
Its unique design enables it to fly in strong winds whilst offering a robust and autonomous solution for the predictive maintenance of wind turbines from the coast and without the need for infrastructure. TIDAV will provide the data collection service. CORNIS will interpret the raw data. The CNRS, through the Heudiasyc laboratories for data links and cyber risks, Gipsa-Lab for the review of the drone system, and the DIRSU (Safety Directorate) for aviation risks. VALEMO is involved in the O&M (Operations and Maintenance) aspect and the provision of onshore wind turbine testing facilities.

TESTIMONIAL

“The support provided by the Aerospace Valley Cluster helped to shape the Skyrell project (formerly WINDEYES) by coordinating a consortium of experts (TIDAV, Valemo, Cornis, CNRS and the French Government), guiding the project towards suitable funding and facilitating strategic partnerships. The result: an operational project with an approved budget of over 4 million euros and international recognition through scientific collaborations.”
