SPACE4Cities has selected the 10 European cities and regions to test the project’s five winning space-based solutions
SPACE4Cities has concluded its Call for Replicators, receiving 21 applications from public sector bodies across Europe. The evaluation and final selection considered the relevance of the proposed use cases, local implementation capacity, data availability and access, end-user readiness, and commitment to engage in the pilot. The pilots will take place before April 2027.
During Phase 3 of the Pre-Commercial Procurement (July 2026 – April 2027), each selected replicator will receive a free three-month deployment of one of the SPACE4Cities prototypes, alongside peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and 2,500€ in funding for engagement expenses. The Replicator Pilots will test the transferability of the solutions to new local contexts, helping validate their readiness for wider deployment and commercialisation beyond the project.

SPACE4Cities congratulates the selected Replicator Cities and looks forward to the results and lessons from the pilots, which will provide valuable evidence on how these solutions can be transferred to different European cities and regions and contribute to making them more resilient, sustainable and liveable.
We are all the prouder to count among these "replicator" cities one of our members, the city of Albi, which is benefiting from the CHERISH solution developed by eOnsight. This solution uses satellite radar data to monitor cultural heritage sites, identifying deformations caused by ground movement and enabling preventive maintenance.
Albi, will monitor its UNESCO World Heritage Episcopal City and riverbanks to mitigate risks from clay soil shrinkage and erosion.
