OmanSat1 : Launch of the training programme "Payload and Platform" designed by Aerospace Valley
As part of the OmanSat1 programme, the first telecommunications satellite of the Sultanate of Oman, Airbus entrusted Aerospace Valley with the design and delivery of a training programme entitled Payload and Platform, intended for ten engineers from SCT (Space Communication Technologies LLC).
The main objective of this programme is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of satellite communication systems, covering key areas such as space mechanics, RF technologies, satellite design, network operations, as well as reliability and quality assurance.
At the end of the three-month training programme, participants are expected to have acquired the technical knowledge required to better understand, analyse, design, operate and maintain satellite communication systems.
To meet Airbus’ requirements, Aerospace Valley designed the training programme based on the specified prerequisites and subsequently entrusted the delivery of the various training modules to several of its members, recognised for their expertise in the relevant fields. This approach enabled the mobilisation of specialised skills to deliver training tailored to the technical requirements of the OmanSat1 programme.
