THE ACHIEVEMENTS


The SMP Ecosystem of Excellence (E²) accelerates innovation in the field of ‘Structures, Materials and Processes’ to help the Aeronautics, Space and Drones sectors meet their challenges in terms of competitiveness and the ecological transition. This is the very purpose of this ecosystem, which aims to bring together industrial and academic stakeholders to stimulate technological development.

Over the past year, the roadmap drawn up by the E² SMP team of experts and coordinators has been put into practice, perfectly aligned with the needs of these strategic sectors.

E² SMP’s ambition has been translated into concrete actions: on the one hand, the organisation of multi-material events to make additive manufacturing accessible and efficient (the Aerospace Additive Manufacturing Summit); on the other hand, technical and methodological support for innovative projects (ComLab, Call for Expressions of Interest).

E² SMP has fully fulfilled its role as an industrial connector: it has positioned itself as a bridge between clients (equipment manufacturers, system integrators) and solution providers.

In this context, member companies of the Cluster have been actively engaged in addressing specific industrial challenges, such as during the Latécoère challenge, which enabled a dozen companies to be supported in tackling a problem proposed by the client centred on the theme: ‘Modular tooling for thermoplastic stamping’.
