NEW FORMAT : Hack2BRIDGE: Take on ASD industry challenges in a hybrid format!
• October 3 to October 31 (12:00 pm)
Aerospace Valley, in collaboration with Bordeaux Technowest, is organizing HACK2BRIDGE, a unique hackathon dedicated to the Aerospace, Space and Defense (ASD) sector as part of the European project BRIDGESMEs.
Initially scheduled for October 3 and 4 at ENSAM (Talence), the event will now take place in a hybrid format to allow for broader and more flexible participation.
New participation format
- Friday, October 3, 2025: Online kick-off session to present the industrial challenges and introduce the event
- October 3 to October 31 (12:00 pm): Teams will have one month to develop their solution and submit their pitch deck (the pitch deck template and the documents and input data relating to the chosen challenge will be provided by email once registration is complete)
- October 2025: Participants will be able to request meetings with mentors through Aerospace Valley to support them throughout the challenge
- First half of November 2025: jury sessions (hybrid format)
- Late November – early December 2025: Award ceremony in person at Aerospace Valley’s offices in Mérignac.
Challenges at the heart of ASD innovation
Participants will tackle one of the following challenges:
1. Recycling and reusing drone batteries
2. Developing an XR system to assist operators in drone assembly
3. Robotic/cobotic solutions to:
- test oxygen masks in extreme conditions
- automate engine sanding and painting operations
4. Safran Helicopter Engines Challenge: Develop an intelligent OCR technology to automate the reading of engine logbooks or customer maintenance sheets (up to 100 pages).
Attractive prizes
The three best teams will be awarded:
- 1st prize: Helicopter flight over the Arcachon Bay for the whole team + 6 months of incubation at Bordeaux Technowest
- 2nd prize: A VR headset + a pitch training session with Aerospace Valley
- 3rd prize: Tickets to the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse
