ActInSpace® is back in 2026!
ActInSpace®, the international innovation hackathon created in 2014 by the French Space Agency (CNES) and co-organised since then in collaboration with the ESA, will take place on 30 and 31 January 2026.
To date, this new 2026 edition brings together more than 50 cities from 30 countries around 16 challenges. The 2026 edition is being run by Telecom Valley and the SAFE cluster.
Please note: The Aerospace Valley cluster is co-organising the event, which will take place in Montpellier (alongside Montpellier BIC and Montpellier Métropole) at the University's IAE premises.
The objectives?
- Developing entrepreneurship, particularly among young people
 - Showing how space can have a positive impact on our daily lives
 - Demonstrating the socio-economic potential of the sector and its ability to stimulate the creation of start-ups
 - Bringing together companies in the space sector and non-space companies
 - Building bridges between civil society and space agencies to make patent licences more accessible

The challenges ?
For 24 hours, teams come together to work on a practical and realistic challenge alongside mentors from the business world and technical experts, in order to imagine and design innovative services and products that find everyday applications for space technologies or data.
