Située à la frontière espagnole, l’UPPA se distingue par son caractère pluridisciplinaire et sa structure multi-site avec une forte insertion dans le tissu socio-économique et culturel régional. L’UPPA est lauréate du label ISITE pour son projet E2S-UPPA «Energy and Environment Solutions». Ce label s’inscrit dans le cadre des investissements d’avenir et place l’UPPA parmi les 15 sites universitaires d’excellence au niveau national. Les 19 unités de recherche dont 10 unités mixtes (CNRS, Inria, INRAe et TOTAL) développent leurs activités autour de différents thèmes en chimie, physique, mathématique, informatique, technologies industrielles qui permettent à l’UPPA une implication soutenue dans de nombreux projets du pôle AESE et particulièrement dans les domaines des matériaux avancés, du training et de la visualisation scientifique, de la maintenance ou encore dans celui des systèmes embarqués.
Located near the Spanish border, the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) is a multi-disciplinary and multi- campus university firmly rooted in the regional socio-economic and cultural fabric. UPPA has obtained the I-Site for E2S-UPPA project “Energy and Environment Solutions”. With this national label of excellence, UPPA has become one of the 15 academic sites of excellence in France. There are 19 research labs including 10 joint labs (CNRS,Inria, INRAe and TOTAL) in the fields of chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer sciences, and industrial technology. As such, the UPPA is extensively involved in many research and training projects in particular in the fields of advanced materials, training, maintenance and scientific visualization, and embedded systems.
