La Fondation Van Allen de l’Université de Montpellier accompagne stratégiquement et financièrement le 1er Centre Spatial Universitaire créé en France. Elle a pour mission de promouvoir et soutenir la formation des étudiant.e.s à travers le développement de nanosatellites universitaires, au niveau national et international. Créée conjointement par l’Université de Montpellier et les industriels 3D PLUS, AIRBUS, EXPLEO et LATECOERE Branche Interconnection Systems, la Fondation est soutenue par des personnalités issues du CNES, de l’ESA et du JPL/NASA. Grâce au mécénat, la Fondation Van Allen soutient les nanosatellites universitaires et le premier Centre Spatial Universitaire français à Montpellier.
The Van Allen Foundation of the University of Montpellier supports the 1st French University Space Center ever created, both in strategy and founding. The Foundation has been created to promote and to support student training through nanosatellites built from scratch, at national and international levels. Jointly created by the University of Montpellier and the companies 3D PLUS, AIRBUS, EXPLEO et LATECOERE Interconnection Systems, it is supported by representatives from CNES, ESA and JPL/NASA. Thanks to donations, the Van Allen Foundation supports university nanosatellites and the first French University Space Center in Montpellier.
