Objectives - Tasks

Objectives of the cluster
  • Consolidate the cluster's world number one position in civil aeronautics
  • Consolidate the European number one position in the field of space
  • Strengthen a position of excellence in the field of embedded systems
  • Become a world-wide reference for research and education/training
  • Reinforce the strengths and synergies of the major corporations and SMEs in the face of worldwide competition


The ambition is to create 40,000 to 45,000 jobs within the next 20 years




The aim of the Association is to develop the competitiveness of the cluster on a national, European and international level. Action will be taken in the following fields in particular:
  • Elaborating and updating the industrial, scientific and training strategy of the cluster
  • Identifying partnership projects that are fundamental to the economic and scientific success of the cluster and its influence; defining and implementing the mechanisms for selecting and evaluating these projects.
  • Promoting the projects, particularly with respect to international, European, national or regional public programmes
  • Participating in these projects and/or following up their progress, making use of their results in industry and services
  • Conducting economic, economic intelligence and technological intelligence studies requested by members
  • Implementing a policy to promote the international attractiveness and awareness of the cluster
  • Collective representation of members for all questions concerning cluster competitiveness, at their request
  • Establishing the necessary links with other competitiveness clusters that have activities in the aeronautics, space and embedded systems sectors, both in France and abroad, and/or useful competencies for the cluster's projects
  • Any study or representation tasks awarded by the state, local authorities or agencies and organisations with a national or regional outlook
  • Administrative tasks for organisations contributing to the cluster's goal.
  • Defining and implementing instruments for steering and evaluating the cluster
  • Leadership of the cluster with a view to obtaining member approval and boosting the image of the cluster.
